To Our Precious, Little Baby Girl...

The hope for this blog is that we get to share with our daughter-to-be, family, and friends what is going on in our lives as we start getting prepared for her BIG DAY and arrival outside of the belly! It'll be a no-holds-barred attempt at our new experiences, challenges, and day-to-day life while our little "bun in the oven" continues to bake. At some point, we hope this will be a loving story for you, little girl, to look back on and hopefully will also be entertaining and educational to read! We love you, little monkey, and are so blessed to have you growing stronger and stronger every day! Love, Mom and Dad

"Excellence Is The Result Of Caring More Than Others Think Is Wise, Risking More Than Others Think Is Safe, Dreaming More Than Others Think Is Practical, And Expecting More Than Others Think Is Possible."

~Unknown

Unlike any other morning since April, I was woken up by the sudden and immediate urge to use the restroom before "normal" people were even awake or before the birds even started their morning chirp. With that, I WAS able to enjoy another beautiful sunrise on my way into work, so all was not lost.

The boys and I stayed busy all day. We went to a new park to meet up with the mom's group, took baths, cleaned the house, did some out-of-the-ordinary laundry due to a vomit explosion this morning by Mr. M, made dinner, watered the plants, played with the dogs, and played around the house. J had an unusual rash around his neck that we're keeping an eye on and had a bad dream during his nap time, otherwise the day was quite happy.

Left work around 5:30pm with a new jogging stroller that the nanny family decided to donate to us because now they are using their DOUBLE wide jogging stroller for the two boys. How nice of them to think of us! We all know that I don't jog, but it is a nice stroller in new condition AND Tony jogs, so it will be used for its intended purpose regardless of what I do.

Monkey never stopped moving today-it was a new thing to see such activity 24/7 (since last evening) and to actually watch the moves sweep back and forth across my belly! Today was the first day in awhile that I sweat, as it was in the 80s and really sunny. Tomorrow is supposed to be more of the same but luckily this weekend should bring some 70s weather AND rain-to which I am very excited about!

When I got home today, I pulled the laundry out of the dryer and folded/put it away, had Tony put out the garbages, said good bye to Tony (who has off tomorrow and so went down for the night to visit his friends Jake and Michelle down in Fremont), wrote in my belly book, made some pizza for dinner, watched a few episodes of Fringe on the computer, checked a few things out online and did my daily stalking, got the mail, trimmed my nails, and did dishes. Now it is time to hop in bed. Tony texted me that he got there safe and so now I feel like I can relax and go to sleep.

Oh, and even though my picture to the left of my belly looks significantly bigger than last week's belly...you don't have to lie, I can clearly see it...the tape measure only says it grew by one inch. Take a good look and tell me you DON'T think there has to be AT LEAST a few inches to be that noticeably bigger, eh? Well, I guess I will continue to be amazed at this whole pregnancy thing! By the way, to all you moms out there...how much bigger should I expect to get...(don't tell me if the answer is going to scare me, please just lie)? I feel so big and feel like my belly enters a room WAY BEFORE the rest of me does...is this normal at this stage of the pregnancy? Okay, I will leave that as my only body issue for the night...

Excited about tomorrow being Friday, as I am ready for a nice laid back weekend. Read part of my daily devotional today: A Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren for tomorrow's group meeting at Meghan's house. Made some notes in the margin and believe I am ready for some discussion.

Was hoping to have the Lennar lady stop by tomorrow to fix our kitchen light, but her only available slot did not work out with Tony being down in the Bay Area, so we'll have to reschedule in a couple weeks.

Hope you all had a fantastic day and evening! I am already missing Tony tonight and I'm sure it'll be even stronger when I head to our big queen sized bed all by myself-at least Peyton and her kicking will keep me company tonight. Love to you all!

  1. Well, my dear, everyone's pregnancy is different but I think it's safe to say your baby bump will be getting quite a bit bigger. Have no fear, however, as most will evaporate as soon as Peanut makes her much-anticipated debut. As for feeling like you're all belly....I do think it's completely normal. I mean, for the most part, your body has completely changed and in a very short time (I know it doesn't feel so short). I think you're doing beautifully so sit back, relax and enjoy your pregnancy as I believe it is the most precious experience a woman could ever have. I'm just sappy that way though =D
