What a nice day, all around!!! Had a beautifully sunny drive into work today, thanks to the time change. Was greeted by two very smiley and happy boys. Played all morning, had a wonderful time bathing the boys and doing various household chores while they napped simultaneously (laundry, made their dinner, vacuumed, more laundry, watered outside plants, swiffered, cleaned/organized, did their dishes, put out their garbage after collecting it around the house for tomorrow's pickup, etc.). Both gentlemen ate stellarly today and were their usual pleasant, happy-go-lucky selves. Got off work on time (and K sent me home with some spare diapers she no longer wanted-yay for free diapers!) to come home and make a chicken marsala dinner for my man (from scratch) along with cooked carrots and some mashed potatoes. Stalked people online, got the mail and was happy to receive December's issue of Real Simple magazine, finished watching all of the Fringe episodes that are available, and am completely ready to lay around for the rest of the evening now that I washed all of the dinner dishes. I don't think I've ever summed up such a wonderful day in such a short paragraph, but everything just flowed really well today! Excited for the weather the rest of the week and for my baby shower on Saturday! I've got a pretty busy week ahead, so it was nice to have a Monday like today! I am so blessed and thankful, because it really started my week off on the right foot! I think I will call it a night and end on a high note! Today was an ordinary day that couldn't have been improved any way but to be gloriously simple and predictable. Thank you! Peyton, Mom thinks you are sleeping on her bladder, as you've been doing all day...I hope this is a temporary position for you. darling!
We lovingly refer to the little girl in our belly as Monkey. Our little girl takes a lot out of her mom's memory, so this is a good way to capture each day, each treasure, and each memory as it unfolds to save it for later and to share with everyone.
To Our Precious, Little Baby Girl...
The hope for this blog is that we get to share with our daughter-to-be, family, and friends what is going on in our lives as we start getting prepared for her BIG DAY and arrival outside of the belly! It'll be a no-holds-barred attempt at our new experiences, challenges, and day-to-day life while our little "bun in the oven" continues to bake. At some point, we hope this will be a loving story for you, little girl, to look back on and hopefully will also be entertaining and educational to read! We love you, little monkey, and are so blessed to have you growing stronger and stronger every day! Love, Mom and Dad
