Congratulations to my brother Logan and his WIFE, Megan!!! They got married tonight (after they both worked). Wish I could've been there to share the special moment with you, but so happy that you have found each other and so happy to officially welcome Megan into the family!
Today I awoke to a beautiful crisp morning and a wonderful 76 degree forecast. It is official. Fall is here! Today is the FIRST day since April that I did NOT sweat...I forgot how wonderful that feels...to be normal-temperature. What a blessing! It even sprinkled a little this afternoon. Oh, can't wait to stand out in the rain...and the day may come sooner than later as it is fore-casted to rain tomorrow. It would be fabulous, as our lawn could use it!
Work kept me busy today, as li'l M didn't nap this afternoon, but we were able to hang out and even sit outside this afternoon. From carrying him and trying to keep him happy and non-fussy today, my back is not happy and I have already taken medicine and laid down since I got home.
My crock pot dinner that I started before leaving for work this morning was a little disappointing because the chicken was very dry tasting. On the up side, the vegetables were delicious and the house smelled super tasty when I got home from work. I even tried the trusted friend called cookie dough ice cream, and even that didn't make me feel better. So now, I've turned to GLEE to help make me be distracted from my uncomfortable back.
I am so happy that today's weather has held up to everything it promised and I am so excited to have a new sister-in-law! Thank you for all of our blessings, the roof over our head, food in our bellies, and love that Tony and I have, and for Monkey waiting for us as she grows bigger and stronger! Sending warm thoughts out into the world!
We lovingly refer to the little girl in our belly as Monkey. Our little girl takes a lot out of her mom's memory, so this is a good way to capture each day, each treasure, and each memory as it unfolds to save it for later and to share with everyone.
To Our Precious, Little Baby Girl...
The hope for this blog is that we get to share with our daughter-to-be, family, and friends what is going on in our lives as we start getting prepared for her BIG DAY and arrival outside of the belly! It'll be a no-holds-barred attempt at our new experiences, challenges, and day-to-day life while our little "bun in the oven" continues to bake. At some point, we hope this will be a loving story for you, little girl, to look back on and hopefully will also be entertaining and educational to read! We love you, little monkey, and are so blessed to have you growing stronger and stronger every day! Love, Mom and Dad
